Who We Are

Alexandria Myotherapy, Inc. (AMI) has been in operation since 1985. All of our therapists are nationally and Virginia certified. The treatments we offer fall into four categories:

Therapies for painful and dysfunctional muscles (myotherapy, neuro-muscular massage therapy (NMT), ortho-bionomy, myofascial release techniques and active-isolated stretching);
Swedish and deep tissue massage for stress reduction and relaxation;
Holistic techniques that operate through the body's so-called "subtle energies," i.e., Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, foot reflexology, shiatsu, Qi Gong therapy, La Stone massage, Lymph Drainage Massage, Polarity Therapy, CSFT and Thai massage;
Sports massage and active-isolated stretching for athletes wishing to improve their performance.

Many clients will receive a combination of these therapies.
