Sheri Bergen
C.M.T., Potomac Massage Training Institute, 1995 Secondary Teaching Certificate, Wichita State University, 1974 B.A., University of Kansas, 1972 About Sheri Sheri Bergen has been practicing massage therapy since 1995 when she graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute. She has a B.A. in German Languages and Literature from the University of Kansas in 1973, did post-graduate studies in Education and Linguistics, and received a Secondary Teaching Certificate thereafter. Sheri taught aerobics for three years as a nationally-certified instructor while raising two children. Her curiosity about the effects of movement on the body, mind and spirit, as well as the connection between optimum health and the power of touch led her to study massage. Sheri's practice includes Swedish relaxation massage, reflexology, myofascial release, and trigger-point myotherapy. She also uses Active-Isolated Stretching in her practice. Her classes in neck and shoulder massage are popular with our clients. She has recently completed training in sports massage and is a member of both the National Capitol and Maryland Sports Massage teams. She practices yoga, sings with the National Cathedral Choral Society, loves to hike, and is an avid cyclist. Sees clients: Tuesday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. |
